These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Zero Interval website, waitlist, and journey bookings. By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

  • "Zero Interval" refers to Zero Interval, a private travel company based in the Netherlands
  • "Journey" refers to any travel experience organised by Zero Interval at a private property
  • "The Circle" refers to the group of selected guests traveling together on a specific Journey
  • "Suite" refers to one accommodation unit within a Journey property, accommodating up to 2 adults and 2 children under 12
  • "Guest" refers to any individual who books or participates in a Journey
  • "Waitlist" refers to the founding waitlist for priority access to Journey announcements
  • "Property" refers to the villa, estate, or accommodation secured exclusively for a Journey
  • "You" refers to the individual using our website, joining the waitlist, or booking a Journey

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Zero Interval website, joining the waitlist, or booking a Journey, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions
  • Have read and agree to our Privacy Policy
  • Are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
  • Will provide accurate and complete information

3. Waitlist

Founding Waitlist

The founding waitlist is free and creates no obligation. By joining the waitlist, you request priority access to Journey announcements and property details when confirmed.

No Guarantee

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee participation in any Journey. All Journeys are subject to availability and our selection process.

Removal

You may request removal from the waitlist at any time by contacting us. We may also remove inactive waitlist entries after 24 months without notice.

4. Selection Process

The Circle

Zero Interval selects guests for each Journey based on compatibility with other guests in The Circle. This is a core principle of our service, not a discriminatory practice.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on compatibility and shared travel standards. We do not select based on wealth, status, nationality, race, religion, gender, or any protected characteristic. We select based on whether you will contribute to a positive experience for all guests in The Circle.

No Obligation to Accept

Zero Interval reserves the right to decline any booking request without providing a reason. If we decline your request, any deposit paid will be refunded in full within 14 days.

Incomplete Circles

If a Journey does not reach the minimum number of selected guests, Zero Interval may postpone or cancel the Journey. We will not fill vacant places with guests who do not meet our selection standards.

5. Booking & Payment

Pricing

Journey pricing is per Suite, not per person. All prices are in US Dollars ($) unless otherwise stated. Current estimated pricing:

What is Included

  • Private villa accommodation for the full Journey duration
  • All meals prepared by a private chef
  • Premium wines and spirits
  • Daily housekeeping
  • Local excursions and activities as outlined in the Journey itinerary
  • One private boat day (where applicable)
  • Airport transfers
  • Dedicated concierge throughout the Journey

What is Not Included

  • International flights to and from the destination
  • Personal spa treatments
  • Travel insurance (mandatory — see Section 7)
  • Visa fees and travel documentation
  • Personal purchases and gratuities beyond standard service

Payment Schedule

  • Deposit: 30% of Suite price due upon booking confirmation
  • Balance: Remaining 70% due 60 days before Journey start date

Payment Methods

All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers. Zero Interval does not store your payment card details.

Booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the deposit and written confirmation from Zero Interval. Until then, your place in The Circle is not guaranteed.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

Transfer to Another Guest

If you cannot attend, you may transfer your booking to another person subject to Zero Interval's approval. The replacement guest must meet our selection criteria. Transfer requests must be made at least 30 days before the Journey and are subject to a $250 transfer fee.

Cancellation by Zero Interval

If Zero Interval cancels a Journey for any reason within our control, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid within 14 days. Zero Interval is not liable for any independently booked flights, accommodation, or other costs.

Postponement

If a Journey is postponed due to incomplete Circle formation, you may choose to:

  • Transfer your booking to the rescheduled date at no additional cost
  • Transfer your booking to a different Journey (subject to availability and price difference)
  • Receive a full refund minus $500 administration fee

7. Travel Requirements

Travel Documents

You are solely responsible for ensuring you possess valid passports, visas, and any other documentation required for entry to the Journey destination. Zero Interval is not liable for denied entry, delays, or costs incurred due to incomplete or invalid documentation.

Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

All guests must have comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Medical emergencies and evacuation
  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Personal liability
  • Loss or damage to personal belongings

Proof of insurance must be provided at least 14 days before the Journey start date. Failure to provide proof of adequate insurance may result in cancellation of your booking without refund.

Health & Fitness

You must inform Zero Interval of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or mobility limitations that may affect your participation. Some Journey activities may require a reasonable level of physical fitness.

Vaccinations

You are responsible for obtaining any vaccinations or health precautions recommended or required for the Journey destination.

8. Conduct

Expected Standards

Zero Interval Journeys are built on mutual respect and shared standards. All guests agree to:

  • Treat fellow guests, staff, and local communities with respect and courtesy
  • Respect the privacy of fellow guests — what happens in The Circle stays in The Circle
  • Follow property rules and respect the accommodation
  • Not engage in behaviour that is disruptive, dangerous, or illegal
  • Not use the Journey for business solicitation or networking without consent
  • Supervise children appropriately at all times

Removal from Journey

Zero Interval reserves the right to remove any guest from a Journey without refund if their behaviour:

  • Is harmful or threatening to other guests or staff
  • Causes damage to the property
  • Significantly disrupts the experience for other guests
  • Violates local laws or property rules

In such cases, the guest is responsible for their own return travel arrangements and costs.

Photography & Privacy

Zero Interval may take photographs during Journeys for internal and promotional use. By attending, you consent to being photographed unless you inform us otherwise in writing before the Journey. You agree not to share photographs of other guests publicly without their explicit consent.

9. Property & Damages

Property Care

The Journey property is secured exclusively for The Circle. All guests are expected to treat the property with care and respect. You are responsible for any damage caused by you or members of your party (including children) beyond normal wear and tear.

Damage Liability

In the event of damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment, you agree to:

  • Report the damage to Zero Interval staff immediately
  • Pay for repair or replacement costs as invoiced by the property owner
  • Provide payment details for any damage deposit required by specific properties

Security Deposit

Some properties may require a security deposit, which will be communicated before booking confirmation. Deposits are refunded within 14 days of Journey completion, less any deductions for damages.

10. Liability

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Dutch law:

  • Zero Interval is not liable for personal injury, illness, death, loss, or damage during Journeys unless caused by our direct negligence
  • Zero Interval is not liable for the actions or negligence of third-party service providers (airlines, transfer companies, activity providers)
  • Our total liability to any guest shall not exceed the total Journey fees paid by that guest

Assumption of Risk

Travel involves inherent risks. By booking a Journey, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating and assume all risks associated with travel, including but not limited to accidents, illness, injury, and loss of property.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Zero Interval against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, your negligent or wrongful acts, or your violation of any law.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Force Majeure

Zero Interval is not liable for failure to perform any obligation due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, severe weather, or acts of God
  • War, terrorism, civil unrest, or political instability
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
  • Government actions, travel bans, or border closures
  • Strikes, labour disputes, or transportation failures
  • Property damage or unavailability beyond our control

In force majeure situations, we will offer you the choice of:

  • Transferring to a rescheduled or alternative Journey
  • Receiving credit toward a future Journey
  • A partial refund at our reasonable discretion based on costs already incurred

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Zero Interval website — including text, design, logos, images, and branding — is the intellectual property of Zero Interval and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

You may not use Zero Interval's name, logo, or any Journey content for commercial purposes without explicit authorisation.

13. Disputes

If you have a complaint or dispute regarding your Journey, please contact us first at service@zerointerval.com. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall first be submitted to mediation in Amsterdam, Netherlands, before any legal proceedings may be initiated. If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved in the courts specified in Section 15.

14. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any Journey-specific terms provided at booking, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zero Interval.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

Zero Interval may assign these Terms to a successor entity. You may not assign your booking or any rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.

Language

These Terms are provided in English. In the event of any conflict between translated versions, the English version shall prevail.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

For guests residing in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply where they provide greater protection than Dutch law.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.

For guests with confirmed bookings, material changes to terms affecting their Journey will be communicated at least 30 days before the Journey start date.
